METAL : YoQi Autumn Flow

Course -7 Lessons

There is a crispness to the days, days shorten, leaves begin to leave their trees, this transition from Earth to Metal season marks the beginning of the yin half of the years cycle. This time of the year reminds us, that what goes up must come down. The mouvement to autumn provides more space, more time to breathe, it invites a reflection and contemplation, we are inspired to settle down into ourselves.

Autumn is the season to relinquish and shed what is no longer essential, initiating an inward energetic transformation. Aligning with the Metal Element and the energy systems the lung and large intestine, it's a perfect moment to strengthen the Wei Qi—an energy force field in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), which protects us from harmful influences.

In the 6-week course you will delve into :

  • Sequences of Yoga, QiGong, +breath-work exercises tailored to the AUTUMN element (Five Element Theory)

  • Understanding the emotional aspects tied to the lungs and large intestine energy systems

  • Technics involving meridian tapping and massage

  • Engaging in seasonally meditation practices

  • The exercises each week progressively build upon the previous ones, heightening your awareness of your energy flow and fostering equilibrium in your mind, body and spirit. The class is designed to initiate profound healing specific to your needs as you become adept at controlling the flow of seasonally aligned energy.

*please be aware that LIVE online classes adhere to European time

Throughout the 6-week course, you ‘ll have the opportunity to participate in 6 LIVE online classes with Careen, supplemented by 6 class recordings. If attending the LIVE class is not possible, don’t worry! You’ll enjoy unrestricted access to the class recordings.

Autumn: Time to Let go, Reflect and Find Clarity

As we transition into autumn, the energy of the Metal element becomes dominant in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). This season is all about refinement and letting go—just as nature sheds its leaves, we too are called to release what no longer serves us. The Metal element governs both the Lungs and the Large Intestine, representing the processes of inhaling new life and exhaling what is no longer needed.

In the Lungs, we find our connection to the world around us, through breath and inspiration. They are responsible for taking in the pure and exhaling the impure, helping to protect us from illness and fostering clarity and focus. On an emotional level, the Lungs are associated with grief and sadness, yet also with the potential for a deep, luminous clarity when we release what we’ve been holding onto.

The Large Intestine, in its own way, supports this letting go by clearing out physical waste and emotions, allowing room for new energy, ideas, and experiences.

Through the practices of my YoQi Autumn Flow program, we’ll explore ways to harmonize and strengthen the Metal element, helping you balance Lung and Large Intestine energy. With the practice of Yoga and Qigong, Breathwork and meditations we balance the autumn energy. YoQi Autumn Flow offers a holistic approach to align the essence of the season. You’ll learn to cultivate a deeper sense of inner clarity and connection, while clearing space—both physically and emotionally—during this reflective time of year.
