In the midst of winter, I found there was, within me, an invincible summer -Albert Camus
The sun rises quite early now and tries to coax us out of bed earlier than in Spring. The days are much longer, and the increasing warmth persuades us to shed layers of clothing, to wear lighter and brighter-coloured garments. The sun encourages us to stay outdoors and enjoy the lengthening days. In this transition nature offers us an invitation to be more expansive, which leads naturally to a desire to spend more time with others.
In Qigong and Traditional Chinese Medicine, the fundamental concept revolves around harmonizing with the natural flow. That's why I structure my YoQi routine based on the changing seasons. Similar to how animals adapt to nature's rhythms, we can also adjust ourselves.
I'm thrilled to introduce my seasonal offerings, inviting you to embrace the vibrant season of summer.
Summer, associated with the element of FIRE, symbolizes the essence of the heart - embodying boundless love, joy and acceptance. In ancient traditions, we focus on elevating our energy to its peak during this time. It's a period of expansive vitality, ideal for opening our hearts and nurturing our spirits.
